Imagine even further that you’re surrounded by glorious memorabilia from your childhood, and TV screens blasting the retro cartoons that defined your Saturday mornings.
Surprise! This whimsical wonderland exists, and it’s called the Cereal Killer Café in London, England. Boasting over 100 types of cereal from around the globe, they are the world’s first International cereal café and have been serving up sugary bowls of nostalgia for over two years.
Everything about this place will send your childhood heart aflutter, whether it’s the amazing retro decor, the TV screens playing old cartoons or the (free!) arcade games where you can have as many turns as you like, without worrying about quarters.
If you’re aching for a visit, you’re in luck! The café actually has three locations: two in London and one in Birmingham. Each serve the same menu and similarly nostalgic decor, which includes all kinds of awesome retro knick knacks, memorabilia, special edition cereal boxes and even beds for you to sit on. (Old school bed sheets included, of course).
But hey, if cereal isn’t your thing! Don’t worry. Doting patrons can also choose from a wide selection of pop tarts, toast, crazy sodas, cereal cocktails and of course, the most gloriously beautiful maltshakes known to man:
The catch? The menu isn’t the cheapest you can find for cereal, that’s for sure. Small bowls of British cereal start at £2.60, with the price increasing for bigger bowls and International choices. Still, if it’s a nostalgia you’re craving, I can’t imagine a more satisfying place to become a kid again!
