You’ve setup your subscription for a MunchPak international snack box. Now what? Well, the first step is wait for your subscription box to arrive in the mail each month. Whether it’s a gift delivered to your doorstep or you ordered it for yourself, opening that snack pack may just make you feel like it’s your birthday (even when it’s not). Before you dig in and tear open the boxes, bags and wrappers, consider some creative ways to use the candy, cookies, cakes and salty treats that are inside.
- Bake a cake. Take some of your foreign snacks and bake them into a cake. You’ll need cake mix in your favorite flavor and frosting. Choose candies or cookies that have chocolate, cream or caramel inside. After mixing the batter, break a few pieces of chocolate or those cute little bear cookies from Japan into the bowl. Stir them in, and then bake the cake. Cover the finished product with frosting and a few more sweet international treats.
- Decorate almost anything that you can create. You baked a batch of cupcakes and the traditional sprinkles and frosting just aren’t cutting it. What can you do? Think out of the box and use your foreign snacks and use them as decadent décor. Press Japanese gummies into frosting crumble a cookie-like biscuit on top. Don’t stop at cupcakes, add the assorted global treats to cookies, pies, pudding desserts and more!
- Make a sundae. Turn plain ice cream into a super-charged sweet by stirring in pieces of your international treats. Pour on chocolate sauce, add the whipped cream and top the sundae off with a candy bar square, cookie from another country or one of your other treats.
- Build a buffet. If you’re not a baker, don’t worry about cooking the snack box goodies into anything else. Create a buffet with international flare. Put each treat on a platter, or group them according to the country of origin. Make the table even more festive by adding a flag (that matches the treat’s country) to the plates.
- Create international snack box art. This is a creative way for kids to get artsy with MunchPak. Save the wrappers from everything that you take out of the box. Let the kids cut the colorful packaging into shapes, strips, pieces and bits. Glue them onto a bright piece of poster board to make a ‘try the world’ collage!
