If you haven’t figured it out yet, MunchPak is all about the adventure of trying food from around the world. After spending some serious time gathering up some of our favorite snacks, we’ve also come up with a collection of our top 10 ultimate food destinations.

Belgium

There really is no place like Belgium. They’ve mastered all the essentials – chocolate, beer, fries, and of course, waffles! Realistically, these probably aren’t the healthiest of the four foods, but they sure are the tastiest. Be sure to try pairing these delectables with each other.

Paris, France

Obviously a favorite, as they created the standard for great food – literally. They developed the Michelin stars, not to mention the cooking style that is most used throughout the world. While most people tend to venture near the Eiffel Tower for their touristy photos, the best food can be found just about anywhere else in Paris. Be sure to come hungry, and get ready to enjoy each and every bite.

Texas, USA

Bigger isn’t always better, but it might just be when it comes to Texas’s insane portions. Whether you are looking for an epic steak, or quite possibly the best barbeque sauce you could possibly ever find, Texas never really stops short of going above and beyond.

Cape Winelands, South Africa

If you’re a vegetarian, you’re probably going to want to skip this one… and if you’re a meatatarian…you’ll probably want to go straight to Cape Winelands. With fresh game, wine pairings, and epic portions – you really can’t go wrong.

Florence, Italy

First of all – pizza! The best of the best restaurants in Florence contain menus that aren’t in English and are filled with an artistic elegance. Florence has gelato, steaks, espresso, and more pizza!

Lima, Peru

Whether you are looking to score a meal at one of the cheapest Michelin starred restaurants in the world, or just looking to get some amazing Latin American food, Lima is one of the hottest cities to travel to. Sit down and enjoy a great bite to eat, or walk through the streets and stop in at a random street cafe. Either way, you surely won’t be disappointed.

Togo, West Africa

Togo has a strong French influence when it comes to their fresh croissants and coffee. Unlike the surrounding parts of Africa, Togo is unique in its approach to gourmet style street food. Be sure to check out their luxury cacao and fresh coffee while you are touring the area. If you are feeling adventurous, we hear bush meat is pretty delicious.

Tokyo, Japan

The sushi is fresh, and the sashimi is perfectly sliced. Sure, it’s a little pricey but sometimes you have to indulge to truly try the culinary masterpieces. Get ready for a little bit of the unusual when the noodles and raw eggs start getting combined.

Vietnam

Unlike most Asian cuisine, Vietnamese food isn’t traditionally deep fried and covered in oil. It still packs all the flavor that is expected of Asian food, just without all the fatty oils. While it’s popularity is growing outside of Vietnam itself, pho (a chilli soup), might just be one of Vietnam’s all time best creations.

Istanbul, Turkey

Featuring bright colors and a blend of both Eastern and Western cuisine, Istanbul’s dishes are one of a kind. Their exotic dishes come from their spice markets that seem to be found in just about any direction. They are known for a number of dishes – but nothing stands out more than the two foot wide kebab of meet.
